Basant Soren was born in year 1980. He is 44 Years Old. He is the son of Shibu Soren, who is currently member of Rajay Sabha representing Jharkhand, He is also the President Jharkhand Muktu Morcha (JMM), which is one of the biggest party in Jharkhand.Shibu Soren was born on 11 January 1944 in Ramgarh, Bihar, British India which is now in Jharkhand India. Basant Soren is brother of Durga Soren who was the elder son of Shibu Soren.

He is also the brother of Hemant Soren who is former Chief Minister of Jharkhand India. Hemant is also elder than Basan Soren. They have sister name Anjali Soren, and Basant Soren sister in law's are Sita Soren and Kalpana Soren. Sita Soren is wife of late Durga Soren and Kalpana Soren is wife of Hemant Soren. Their mother is Roopi Soren. Shibu Soren is now 80 Years Old.
