Shammi Kapoor was born on 21 October 1931 in Bombay during British India in present-day Mumbai, Maharashtra India. He was the second son of Prithviraj Kapoor and also the member of second generation of his family after entering to cinema. He was the younger brother of Raj Kapoor, The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema and the elder brother of Shashi Kapoor. Shammi was also called as Elvis Presley of India and he is also known as First Rockstar of Indian cinema. He started working from 1953 and was active in cinema till 2011, unfortunately on 14 August 2011 he passed away and left behind his legacy. He did two marriages. His first wife was actress Geeta Bali, they married in 1955 but in 1965 she passed away, they have two children, a son name Aditya Raj Kapoor and their daughter is Kanchan Kapoor. His second wife is Neila Devi, the couple didn't have any child together but Aditya Raj Kapoor and Kanchan was raised by her and Shammi Kapoor.
Shammi Kapoor full name is Shamsher Raj Kapoor. Apart from being an actor he was also a director. Shammi Debuted in films in 1953 and his first film was 'Jeewan Jyoti' which was commercially unsuccessful film. His 'Junglee' released in 1961 gave him lots of attention and recognition, it was the romantic blockbuster film and after that he became one of the most marketable bollywood actors thoughts 1960s era, in that era he appeared number of highly successful films like China Town (1962), Dil Tera Diwana (1962), Professor (1962), Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Rajkumar (1964), An Evening in Paris (1967), Prince (1969) and more. Aditya Raj Kapoor was born on 1 July 1956 he is an Indian actor, filmmaker, author and also a businessman. He recently completed graduation, the only graduate of Kapoor family especially of his generation like amongst his cousins brothers Randhir, Rishi, Rajiv, Kunal, Karan Kapoor and more. His wife is Priti Kapoor they married in 1982 and they have two children. His daughter name is Tulsi and son is Vishwapratap Kapoor according to reports Aditya currently resides in Goa. He also worked as an assistant director in films like Bobby (1973), Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), Geraftaar (1985), Dharam Karam (1975) and Ajooba (1990).
Shammi Kapoor daughter Kanchan Kapoor is the wife of Ketan Desai son of Indian famous director and producer Manmohan Desai. Kanchan and Ketan Desai have two children, Pooja and Rajeshwari. Kanchan has studied from Walcingham School in Bombay.
