Raj Kapoor was an great actor of Indian Cinema. He was also an director and film producer. He was also called as 'The Great Showman of Indian Cinema'. He was born on 14 December  1924 and was the son of Prithviraj Kapoor. His father was the first from his family to enter in film industry than followed by Raj Kapoor. Today Kapoor family is also known as the first family of Indian Cinema or hindi cinema. They have more than 8 decades of contribution in Indian cinema, starting from Raj Kapoor's father Late Prithviraj Kapoor to his grandson Ranbir Kapoor. Raj wasn't just an great actor but also he was a great film maker of his time and of history of Indian Cinema. Apart from being referred as The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema and he also referred as The Charlie Chaplin of Indian Cinema. Raj Kapoor was born in Peshawar during British India, after Independence it's now the part of Pakistan. 

Raj made his debut in hindi film in 1935 with film Inquilab and Rest his filmography is history. Raj Kapoor's wife was Krishna Raj Kapoor. The couple had 5 children. Ritu Nanda was his eldest daughter, Randhir Kapoor is his elder son, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor was his younger sons and Reema Jain is younger daughter. Raj Kapoor passed away on 2nd June 1988 and his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away on 1st October 2018. His legacy was carry forward by his sons Randhir, Rishi and the youngest son Rajiv Kapoor. Unfortunately his three children passed Ritu Nanda, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor passed away few years back. 

His elder daughter Ritu Nanda, husband was Rajan Nanda, who was an industrialist. they have two children Nikhil Nanda and Nitasha Nanda also the first grand children of Raj Kapoor's. His elder son Randhir Kapoor married to actress Babita Shivdasani Kapoor and the couple have two daughters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, both well established actress of Bollywood Industry, Raj Kapoor's second son Rishi Kapoor married to actress Neetu Singh Kapoor and they had two children a elder daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and son Ranbir Kapoor also the first grandson of Raj Kapoor's. His younger daughter Rima Jain is married to Manoj Jain who is an investment banker and they had two sons name Armaan Jain and Adar Jain, both are actors. His son Rajiv Kapoor was married to Aarti Sabharwal, but they divorced, after that Rajiv Kapoor haven't did marriage, he is not alive and he had no children. 

Raj Kapoor have 3 granddaughter Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and 3 grandsons Ranbir Kapoor, Armaan Jain and Adar Jain.
