Dilip Kumar was born on 11 December 1922, he was the legendary actor of Indian Cinema, who mainly worked in hindi films. His real name was Muhammad Yusuf Khan, apart from being an actor, he was also an film producer. He is regarded as one of the greatest actor of hindi cinema, he worked as a lead actor in 1940s, 1950s and 1960s era and dominated the hindi cinema with his acting performance. He was born in Peshawar during British India at that India wasn't independent from Britishers, now Peshawar is part of Pakistan. He died at the age of 98 years old on 7 July 2021 in Mumbai Maharashtra. He won Filmfare Award for best actor 8 times and won Dadasahab Phalke Award in 1994. In his career he worked in 57 films. Very few fans of Dilip Kumar might be aware about this interesting story of his life that once he was offer a lead in the International movie, 'Lawrence of Arabia' which was released in 1962. Kumar was offered the role by the director of the film David Lean, but Dilip Kumar rejected the offer, the reason is not publicly known. After his rejection the lead role went to Omar Sharif who was an Egyptian actor. Many few actor or actress of hindi cinema appeared or did international films, Dilip was offered the film but he rejected. Indian fans love him in hindi cinema. He was and is the icon of aspiring actors. Unfortunately he passed away in 2021 at the age of 98 but he left behind his huge legacy.
